Posted on July 12, 2012 by Jen Miller for Needsomeonetoblog.com

Increase in Website Rank at NeedSomeoneToBlog.comAre you interested in search engine success? Are you curious about the increase in website rank experiment conducted by NeedSomeonetoBlog.com?  Want to see some amazing results?

If so, you’ll want to see the statistics that define what was accomplished in the last month.  It’s been exciting to test keywords on blog posts and see them climb over a period of days.  I’ve loved creating videos for a sampling of blog posts and conversing with people who have viewed NeedSomeoneToBlog.com.  It’s been incredibly fun!

A previous post on how to increase website rank in search engines, shared that the domain NeedSomeoneToBlog.com was purchased on May 30, 2012. The website was first submitted to search engines on June 11th.  Today is the first day the of month two.

Let’s review the progress made over the first month.

  • Today, July 12, 2012 – Total Rankings: 30
  • One month ago, June 12, 2012 Total Rankings: 0
  • Today, July 12, 2012 – Page 1 Rankings: 20
  • One month ago, June 12, 2012 Page 1 Rankings: 0
  • Today, July 12, 2012 Alexa Ranking: 5,216,838
  • One month ago, June 12, 2012 Alexa Rankings: Non-existent (No data)

The increase in website rank results was achieved mainly with content.  Namely,  unique, 100% original website content and safe blog posts. The rankings shared also only reflect placement on Google, Yahoo, and Bing.  Through the process NeedSomeoneToBlog.com also gained backlinks from relevant sources, but none have been significant enough to affect page rank at this point.

A very minimal Adword campaign was implemented today, July 12, 2012, so we shall see how and if that impacts results for month two. Today the Adwords generated 3,897 impressions and 10 clicks. Definitely room for improvement there, but a good start, as one of the ads had a CTR (Click Through Rate) of 52%.

This month the goal is to :

  • Continue blogging unique safe blog posts
  • Create great video and 100% original content
  • Add in Adwords
  • Generate relevant backlinks.

Of course, NeedSomeoneToBlog.com will continue to promote through social media as posts, videos, and other original content is created, as well. Should be a great month with continued search engine success!

Congrats on the rankings! What is the Alexa rating?

Alexa rating is a somewhat level playing field and is used by advertisers to determine a website’s popularity and substance. They rank the standing of websites on a worldwide basis. Any new website starts with no rank and then I think 1 billion is the starting number once you’ve had enough traffic to start being tracked. The score is based more on content and individual website value than exact keywords or links from other sites. So, to have it drop quickly means your content and web traffic is pretty good. 🙂 I’m not planning on selling ads on my site so it’s not a critical number for me, but seeing it fall rapidly was fun. Older domains tend to have very low Alexa ratings, too.
